AIM boasts a state of the art plasma coating facility to restore worn or damaged
cylinders back to OEM standards without altering MAWP ratings. The process of
plasma coating on an unlined cylinder results in a 50-60 RC hardness minimizing the effects
of wear, corrosion and increasing efficiency.
Many of today's compressor cylinders are unable to be relined because of a thinner wall
thickness. The plasma coating process requires minimal removal of metal from the cylinder,
making it a viable alternative to relining, at a comparable cost.
